Gary Reid
President


Mr. Reid started his career in transportation with Pacific Western Airlines in 1974 in Yellowknife. He managed cargo operations for ten years throughout the North, in Cambridge Bay, Resolute Bay, Inuvik and Yellowknife, before relocating to Vancouver as Manager of Cargo Operations for Canadian Airlines.

Mr. Reid returned to Yellowknife in 1999 as Director of Operations with Canadian North Airlines before assuming the position of Vice-President of Customer Service. He brings his extensive experience in the industry (including board positions with the Yellowknife Chamber of Commerce, the Northwest Territories Chamber of Commerce and the Northern Air Transport Association) to the position of President of BBE.

Mr. Reid looks forward to bringing his expertise to BBE and its clients in the mining and oil and gas sectors by tackling the operations and logistics of moving cargo in the North.

Eitan Dehtiar
Vice-President, Finance and Strategic Planning


Mr. Dehtiar graduated from the Queen's University Executive MBA Program, and served the financial industry for many years, before joining BBE in 2003. He has extensive experience with business development and logistics management for alternate delivery channels. Mr. Dehtiar brings a strong financial analysis and modeling background to BBE, complemented by marketing, human resource and project management skills.

Stuart Russell
Vice-President, Business Development


Mr. Russell joined BBE in 2001, bringing with him over 30 years of diverse experience in the transportation industry and knowledge of remote regions. His background includes operations, logistics planning, project management, sales and marketing, and senior management.

While working with Pacific Western Airlines' Hercules Operations, Mr. Russell's strong project management and customer service skills were finely honed as he organized the airlift of heavy machinery and oil drilling rigs around the world. For over 10 years he worked alongside arctic oil and gas explorers to refine and improve methods for airlifting their cargo into the frozen reaches of northern Canada, as well as contract assignments supporting East Coast offshore drilling.

Mr. Russell expanded his knowledge of corporate mergers, marketing strategies and process improvement teams when PWA evolved into Canadian Airlines in 1986 and began worldwide operations. During his tenure, Mr. Russell expanded his understanding of commercial issues on  a global scale and developed a broad range of contacts throughout the transportation industry.

Dragos Niculescu
Manager, Business Development


Joining the BBE team in 2004, Mr. Niculescu graduated from the University of London with a B.Sc. Management degree in 2001 and achieved the designation of Professional Logistician in 2002. With a well-rounded background in the air transport industry that includes over 10 years of European experience in traffic operation, cargo and passenger services, Mr. Niculescu brings a strong emphasis in supply chain logistics and strategy.

Mr. Niculescu is also responsible for managing existing contracts in Alberta and defining new markets for the BBE suite of services.

Dennis Gould
Director, Operations


Mr. Gould is a veteran of the airline industry.

He has over 35 years of aviation and transportation experience, working his way from the ramp to various senior positions in the airline industry.

He has worked with Central Western Airfreight, Pacific Western Airlines, Canadian Airlines and, most recently, with Canadian North. Mr. Gould worked as a load planner with PWA at the Edmonton Municipal Airport – Calgary Airbus operation and as a customer service representative with the Canadian Airlines’ System Operations Control Centre.

During the past seven years at Canadian North Airlines, he held many operational/management roles and played a large part in the development of the airline as it evolved from a virtual airline to an operating entity. His influence on Canadian North had far reaching effects in that company. More recently, Dennis managed Canadian North’s airport operations system-wide, including managing contracts and ground operations.

Rodney Noseworthy
Operations Manager, Yellowknife


Mr. Noseworthy has spent the past 15 years providing innovative logistics and transportation solutions. In 1996, he joined Matrix Logistics in Brampton, Ontario, where he learned all aspects of supply chain logistics management, became a trainer and team leader. In 2002, he relocated to Calgary to tackle the role of Operations’ Manager, servicing Western Canada for Matrix.

After moving to Yellowknife, Mr. Noseworthy joined the BBE team in January 2006 and has been meeting the challenges of the North ever since. He brings technical experience and management skills to BBE, helping the BBE team continue to ensure client satisfaction while meeting the challenges of northern supply chain logistics.

Mike Hollick
Operations Manager, Edmonton


Mr. Hollick joined BBE in May 2008, bringing with him 12 years of experience in the airline industry, from front line loading aircraft right up to management.

He started his career with Atco Frontec as the lead hand ramp attendant in 1996. He moved to Canadian North two years later, where he worked his way up from customer service agent – cargo acceptance to cargo operations manager for the western region in just eight years.

As operations manager based out of Edmonton, Mr. Hollick is in charge of logistics for BBE’s oil and gas clients. He also manages international shipping for brokers and freight forwarders as well as the seven different airline contracts BBE currently handles.

Heather Stewart
Manager, Expediting


Ms. Stewart began her expediting career with BBE working on exploration projects out of Yellowknife in the 1990s. This Yellowknife born individual understands the infrastructure capabilities, transportation limitations and the logistical support required to operate in harsh and isolated arctic environments.

Ms. Stewart is responsible for the implementation of expediting and logistics support plans for resource projects in the Arctic.  She enjoys the challenges of coordinating shipments from all over the world into and out of the Canadian Arctic by the most suitable and cost effective means.

Ms. Stewart holds a Bachelor’s Degree of Business and Entrepreneurship with a major in International Trade. She is a registered Certified International Trade Professional.
