I am pleased to announce the appointment of Gary Reid as President of Braden Burry Expediting (BBE) which was recently acquired by NorTerra Inc. BBE is an important addition to the NorTerra Group of Companies and I am pleased to be able to welcome Gary Reid back into the group after working closely with him previously at Canadian North. For the past year, Gary has served BBE as Vice President, Operations responsible for the operation and logistics of BBE’s northern cargo network. Gary’s strong background in the transportation and cargo industry prepared him well for this new position. His 34 years of experience in the domestic and international transportation industry includes 12 years of northern cargo management in the north with Pacific Western Airlines; 15 years of global cargo management and operations with Canadian Air Cargo; and seven years with Canadian North in Yellowknife, first as Director of Operations and then Vice President, Customer Service before moving to BBE. Gary is well known in the northern business community having served on a number of boards and associations, including the Yellowknife Chamber of Commerce, the Northwest Territories Chamber of Commerce and the Northern Air Transport Association. BBE links the world to Canada’s north, expediting cargo by ship, truck, rail, barge, ice road and air. It is a key link in the growth and development of the north. NorTerra Inc. is owned equally by the Inuvialuit Development Corporation and Nunasi Corporation, representing the Inuvialuit of the Northwest Territories and the Inuit of Nunavut, the Aboriginal people of Canada’s Arctic. The NorTerra Group of Companies includes Northern Transportation Company Limited, Canadian North Airlines, Weldco-Beales Manufacturing Inc., Northern Industrial Sales and now BBE.
